Dehue Fountain Hotdog Sauce Submitted By Judith A. Marks 1 lb. hamburger 1 onion, cut fine 3/4 tsp. chile powder 1 1/2 tsp. salt (I don't put in as much) 1 1/2 cup water 1 small can tomato paste Cook hamburger and onion and drain. Add other ingredients and simmer. Hamburger should be very fine. I cheat on the coleslaw and use Marzetti's dressing but here is Mom's if you want to use it. She made it every two days and doubled the recipe. THE Cole Slaw 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 t. salt 1/8 t. pepper 1/4 c. sweet milk 1/2 c. mayo 1/4 c. buttermilk 1 1/2 T. white vinegar 2 1/2 T. lemon juice 1 head cabbage, shredded 1 carrot, shredded Mix sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayo, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice. Toss with cabbage and carrots, Refrigerate several hours or overnite. |
