Take stalks and peel leaves off in 2 inch then pc then bread in flour & meal fry in shortening. ~Norma |

My dad said to pick it when it was about 1 or 2 feet high, after that, he said it was no good. My family never used the leaves of the poke plant. We rolled it in flour and cornmeal and fried it. ~Kathy Midkiff |
